Toietta McClendon Founder & CEO of On Site Tax Pro For Toietta McClendon, entrepreneurship has always been about more than building a business—it has been about creating opportunity, building independence, and showing others what is possible when they have the right knowledge, tools, and support. In 2017, Toietta founded On Site Tax Pro, beginning a journey that would take her from serving individual tax clients to building a company designed to help other entrepreneurs enter the tax industry and eventually build businesses of their own. But that journey wasn’t built overnight. Like many entrepreneurs, Toietta learned by doing.
She learned how to attract and retain clients, manage operations, navigate the tax industry, train new professionals, market a growing company, implement technology, lead a team, and adapt when things didn’t go according to plan. Those experiences—both the successes and the lessons—became the foundation of what On Site Tax Pro is today. With a professional background in management and organizational leadership, Toietta naturally began looking beyond simply preparing tax returns. She saw the bigger picture: systems, people, technology, leadership, and growth. She also recognized a gap in the tax industry.
Too often, aspiring tax professionals are given software and taught how to prepare a return—but are left to figure out the business of taxes on their own. Toietta wanted to change that. She began developing an approach that provided tax professionals with more than software. On Site Tax Pro became a place where new and growing tax entrepreneurs could receive hands-on training, business guidance, technology, operational support, marketing resources, and mentorship while developing the confidence to eventually operate independently. Building the Next Generation of On Site Tax Pro Nearly a decade after launching the company, Toietta is now leading On Site Tax Pro into its most technology-driven chapter yet. Her vision is to combine tax expertise, entrepreneurship, automation, and AI-powered technology to create a modern ecosystem for today’s tax professional.
